Have you created an account for a manager? The next step is to link the right employees. Without this step, the manager will not yet see any files in the portal.
Why are authorisations important?
Privacy and permissions: A user only gets access to the employees they are specifically authorised to access. This protects the privacy of colleagues outside the manager's team.
Targeted notifications: The manager receives notifications in the portal based on the tasks and milestones within the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act. By linking employees correctly, the manager only receives notifications that are relevant to their own team.
The difference between Employer (WG) and Manager (LG)
Users receive permissions based on their role in the portal:
- Employer role (WG): The administrator on the customer side often has access to the complete overview and can create unlimited new users themselves.
- Manager role (LG): When creating an account, choose the role '2 LG - No link' or '4 LG - Link via system'. As a result, a manager does not yet have any employees in the list by default. You must always manually set who they can access.
Three levels of authorisation
You can set a manager's authorisations at three different levels.
- Company level: The manager gets access to all employees throughout the company.
- Department level: The manager gets access to all employees within one or more specific departments.
- Employee level (Client level): You manually select for each individual employee whether the manager may view the file.
Useful: Are you linking a manager at company or department level? Then you will no longer need to maintain this manually in the future. All current and new employees within this group will then be automatically added to the manager's overview.
