# Why is the occupational health practitioner calling me

Do you have an appointment for a phone call with the occupational health physician support staff member (POB)? We do this to briefly discuss things.

The reason is often that the answers you filled in when reporting in sick are slightly different from what your employer filled in. To quickly gain clarity and avoid misunderstandings, we give you a call.

**The triage conversation**

We call this conversation a triage conversation. Don’t worry: it is not a long or complicated intake, but a short and focused conversation of about 15 minutes.

**What do we discuss?**

We keep it simple and to the point:

* What is the situation?
* What do you need?
* Do we expect the absence to be short or long?

That way we immediately know whether more help is needed and prevent confusion about what exactly is going to happen now.
